Working at Google Trip
Google is a multinational technology company specialising in Internet-related services and products that include online advertising technologies, search, cloud computing, software, and hardware. As part of our Year 12 Career Exploration programme students were given the opportunity to visit Google’s St Giles Campus, they got to see some of the projects that Google are working on, meet Google employees and also secure some work experience.
The trip was a great opportunity for our students to meet a selection of Google Employees’ (Googlers) and gain an insight into the amazing work that Google do, gaining an insight into how they’ve navigated their careers and how they’re working to change the technology landscape. The interactive day was well received with students being introduced to a range of professionals and opportunities available at Google. Google Employees then highlighted the next steps that our students should be taking to achieve the grades, digital portfolio and other competencies that they will need to secure both a place at university and employment at a leading technology company like Google in the future.

Pupils worked in groups to design an advertising campaign which was then presented to the rest of the class.
